I’ve only got a few minutes here so this will have to be quick.  Anne stopped by for a visit and to meet Melvin.  She was going to take him home today, but we decided that since she brought the clothes and stuff for him to get used to the new scents my husband and I would bring him down Wednesday night.  The drive will also be a little less nerve racking for him with us and it’s a long drive.  This also works because then our scent will be on some things in the apartment as well.  Usually I wouldn’t be so concerned, but having just came off the medication and the injuries themselves I want it to be as stress free for him as it can.  He was so great with Anne, he let her rub him and we got the collar on and he was great about that.  I think it’s because he wore that surgical collar for over a week so a regular collar is nothing.  He even started to fall asleep in front of her on the floor.  An excellent sign.  Then when I checked on him he is sleeping in the closet on his new families clothes.  Another good sign.  I’m so happy for Melvin!
