This is going to be quick because my pests are trying to get some attention.  So far Meeya keeps trying to sit on the keyboard or hits random keys and Kiya keeps jumping up and putting his fluffy butt in my face and I can’t see around it.

It’s Sunday and I’m not at work!  Or at least not until three.  I’m down to eight hours on Sunday!  I didn’t even wake up until 11AM!
To answer a few quick questions. Nibbles is doing great.  Even found a way to escape out of the bedroom last night.  Yes I will put up more pictures and an update after we see the vet and he gets his test.

No I haven’t forgotten about the quizes and stuff you guys sent me.  I’ll try to do one a day starting tomorrow.

Thanks for all the tips about my knee.  My favorite so far is “To make your Knee feel better drink a lot of jack and close the dresser drawer on your nipple.” LOL!  Ouch!

Tonight at work I had an interesting night.  I was walking back to the linen closet when I saw one of my residents about drink out of what was obviously a urine sample cup.  Having just read the note on the board about him needing a urine sample for his next appointment I was sure that cup was filled with pee.  So I ran into the bathroom yelled and knocked the cup out of his hands into the sink.  He’s looking at me with his eyes wide like I was nuts.  The cup didn’t have pee in it.  He just saw it sitting there on the counter and decided he use it to get a drink.  I about had a heart attack and the little shit was just trying to get some water. So I explained to him that cup isn’t for drinking, it’s for peeing in so the doctor can look at your pee.  I’m not sure if he believe me or not, but for the rest of the evening when he went to drink something he would sniff it first. 

Meeya is the kitten we found two summers ago walking around outside eyes and nose covered with goo.  Less then a pound and five weeks old.  No momma and nobody but us to help her along.  Well here is Meeya now as she turns 2.  Nine pounds of beautiful gray fur and the sweetest eyes!

Feeling a bit better today.  My knee is not throbbing and I just had a nice brunch.  I’m chewing my last piece of celery as I type.  Took yesterday morning off work and still worked the afternoon at the other home.  I’m sure that is going to bite me in the ass somehow.  But at the home I would have worked in the morning I would have been the only care giver there for two people.  Cooking meals, climbing stairs and the continous battle against bad behaviors are just too much when you’re hurt.  At the second home I’m one of two staff on duty for three residents (they may be mentally retarded, but not mentally ill) and so I called my co-worker and said I’m not 100% do you want me to call out?  She said no as I knew she would.  We pick up the slack for each other when needed.  I didn’t cook, but I sat in a chair doing the dishes after.  I didn’t go downstairs to get the clean clothes, but I sat on the couch foldinging them.  And most important I was there in case one resident had a seizure or something to look after the other two.  But it helped me to make a decision.  I’m not going to work a double on Sunday every week.  This old body needs time to rest and I’m not getting it.  So my one boss will be pissed, but that’s okay.  All I’m going to do is switch from Sunday mornings to Saturday mornings. If that’s not okay I guess I go someplace else.

I think there must be something wrong with me.  I don’t wanna yell.  I don’t wanna fight.  Nor do I care to have conversations that have more then three sentences in them.  I feel like I’m here, but I’m not.  As I watch my fingers glide across the keyboard I know they are my fingers, but they just don’t feel that way.  A couple of deep breaths and my eyes feel heavy I kind of fade out.  Not pass out mind you, I’m still here, but I’m not.  And no I’m not smoking, drinking or swallowing anything either. 

I finished Harry Potter this afternoon.  I can’t believe I basically read the damn thing in two days.  I won’t say anything other then I liked it and when my family has finished I’ll want to share opinions.

Got a busy day a head of me tomorrow and I just can’t sleep.  Okay some of it is because I broke down and bought the new Harry Potter and even though I said I wasn’t going to start reading it.  I’m on page three hundred and I just started yesterday.  The other reason is my knee keeps throbbing and when I roll over it just plain hurts.  Think I might have to swallow another pill.
So here I sit torn between the horrible desire to read or pass out. 

I didn’t end up getting my truck fixed.  My check was smaller then I hoped because they didn’t pay me my vacation time like I asked.  I opened my check and just sat there, all that work.  All those hours for such little money.  So we talked about it and decided to pay the insurance, get the new tags and restock the very empty fridge instead.  We also bought brakes and stuff for his truck since it will be the primary vechile for another two weeks.  My husband’s next check and mine should be enough to fix the truck and pay the rent.
My husband found a way to keep the storm door shut that has been broken for months at Ace hardware.  I’ve also been bugging him to get some hanger for broom and mops so I can quit tripping on ours and he got those too.  Kind of a good thing because too many more stumbles and they would have all been history.
Okay that is my life in a sad little nut shell.  My big weekend plans are to work and work.  How about you?

Here are twenty random things.  Some are answers to e-mail, some a just thoughts and some are what’s been happening here!
1)I don’t know about you, but boy am I busy.  I picked up some more overtime this week.  Only two days, but I’m trying to pay off my overdue bills and send the wolf away.
2) As you can see I’m enjoying my camera.  I’m still a bit unsteady with the procedure and when it takes a long time to do I get a little nervous.
3) No I haven’t got my Harry Potter book yet.  I’ll have to wait a few paychecks and don’t think I’m not sad about that.
4) My truck goes in on Friday.  Please keep your fingers crossed that it doesn’t cost more then my paycheck, I gotta have my truck back.
5) Nibbles is doing great.  He’s eating every six to eight hours now and lapping from the bowl. In two weeks he should be on his way to kitty food.

6) I bought some flea and tick treatment for him and Tyler and that was $26.00.  Next paycheck I’ll treat two more.
7) When I cleaned Erin’s cage I forgot to close the side door.  So this morning we woke to his screeching down the hall which is a long way from his cage.  He is so lucky Kiya was there protecting him or the others would have eaten his ass for sure.
Can you believe some people won’t come here because they find me offensive?  Okay I can too.
9) Right knee is all swollen up and it’s not going down and that just sucks.
10) Made my loose lasanga at work on Monday and my residents and boss just tore it up.  My boss even went back for seconds.
11) I miss being able to go see my folk and David’s folks.  Now that David has to work Wednesdays we will have to find another day.
12) I’m up to date on all my favorite blogs.  Some of you guys have been busy.
13) Yes I will do my five things I miss from Childhood and my list of songs soon.
14) I keep on looking at my banged up hands and saying well you can tell I do a lot of dishes.
15) Nope haven’t done a thing about the sidewalk weeds, but I haven’t been home either.
16) Mr Scott from Star Trek died today he was eighty-five.
17) Jesse James (monster garage) married Sandra Bullock.  Yep that will work out as well as his other two marriages did.
18) Did two loads of clothes and not a single dent has been made in the pile.  I say we all start going naked! Never mind I wouldn’t want to scare everyone away!
19) Fridge is still clean on the inside.  Notice I said the inside, but that could be from me not being able to buy much in the way of groceries lately.
20) Paid the phone company so they can quit calling here twenty times a day! Woo-Hoo!  Next stop electrical!
