I have two friends that are getting married in May. One asked me if I would try to grow out my hair to see what it would looked like long again. I’ve known this woman since I was fifteen years old. She said that could be my only gift. I don’t know how much of a gift that will be. It’s been thirteen years since I cut my hair, I’ve gotten older, the color has changed and it doesn’t have the same natural curl. But hell it ain’t my wedding. So I’m going to try under the stipulation I can cut if if it drives me too crazy or when the five month mark gets here nothing can be done with it. I also can get regular trims to get it from getting split ends. Maybe it’s time for a change.

Fair options, good thing to try, and not a lot of effort to achieve. Go for it!

I’d lose on that deal. I have inherited my grandma and mother’s thin, straight, baby fine hair. With two cowlicks.
In the late ‘80s, I didn’t get it cut, just trimmed for more than 3 years, and it only grew out to the bottom of my collar.
And we just can’t mention how bad it looked sticking out from under my knitted winter hat, and even worse when I took the hat off.
In 1992, I had a good friend going through chemotherapy. I crocheted her a pretty hat, and for loyalty, got a buzzcut like a Marine.
Most convenient haircut Evah!
I would agree with your Momma, tho. It’s worthy of a Try.
