I really wanted to put a picture of my new shoes up with this entry, but as usual the computer doesn’t like me so a description will have to do. I have for about the last eight years or so had three pairs of shoes and boots that I wear. Tennis shoes, a pair or black flats and some winter work boots. Nothing fancy and nothing expensive. I found out that I had this big hole in my tennis shoes that meant I needed a new pair so it was off to payless where I found a cheap pair of black tennis shoes that worked. As I was bending over a pair of dark brown suede top wooden clogs caught my eye. I tried them on and the fuckers actually fit. It was love at first fit. Due to the size of my feet most dress shoes don’t fit or look really stupid so this was a real find. They were also about $27. I don’t spend that kind of money on shoes ever so I put them back on the shelf and walked away. As my husband and I were out running errands I kept mentioning the shoes which my husband thought was funny because it’s not like me. So he wasn’t the least bit surprised when at the end of the shopping day I bought the shoes. Now they sit in the closet waiting for an indoor occasion to wear them.
My husband swears that I’m the only white woman that would ever the caught in those shoes. Yes, I could see why one would think more African American women would wear them then white. But guess what? That’s basically my entire dress wardrobe. The other thing is these thing have a two inch thick heel. That will take some getting used to. I’ll let you know when I get to wear them so bets can be made as to how long I can have them on my feet before I fall on my face. Hint aim early in any betting schedule.

Congratulations on buying shoes you like and which fit well!
Due to feet problems since my waitress days, having had two broken bones in my right foot when youngest was a toddler and caused an oak chair to fall onto my bare foot in the kitchen, I never scrimp on poorly fitted shoes.
The last dressy pair I bought, which on sale were $30, are for a couple hours at an indoor wedding.
My duty shoes have orthopedic inserts. I wait until the store coupon is in the paper before I buy the next pair. I wear a size 7W, and it is really hard to find that size right off the shelf.
(SAS) San Antonio Shoes made in Texas. They might be average looking, but they sure are comfortable.

I’m with Mrs Dof on the bad feet problem so I also have problems finding shoes that are comfortable for more than three hours and that sucks!
